WILLIAM SELWYN, RCA

Born 1923

Selwyn's work revolves around the landscape of North Wales, farm workers and fishermen. He is a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy.

Born in Caernarfon. From 1952 - 1954 he served national service in the Royal Artillery and then entered Bangor l College from 1954 - 1956. He subsequently taught at Maesincla Junior School and at Syr Hugh Owen School until his retirement in 1990.

Works have been purchased by: Gwynedd Council, Anglesey Council, University of North Wales, Bangor, Arts Council of Wales, National Library of Wales, Bath University, and many private collections both nationally and internationally.

Selwyn was highly regarded by the late Sir Kyffin Williams and the Welsh collectors simply love his works.
